Poems and novels have been written about her, while artists have come from afar to capture the beauty of her narrow streets. Considered to be Spain’s main Jewish city, Girona makes an excellent day trip, and one that will have you longing to return time and time again. We will trace the city’s cobbled streets to the hill of Montjuïc surrounding the ancient wall, before visiting the Cathedral, one of Europe’s largest. We will then cross the River Onyar by means of the Eiffel Bridge, predating the Eiffel Tower, and delve into the Old City’s narrow alleyways with their centuries of history.
